Rain maker wanted
A woman in New York State complains about getting 14 inches of rain in a single week...
I can plant seeds, but they don't come up...
the native delphinium that I posted about in Early Emergence, is in bloom.
The Mississippi river valley is under-water, No food crops are being planted there...
Good thing we're in a drought, right? We can get out in the garden and make up for the coming food shortage...
I dunno... This is what my garlic looks like...

I took pity on the blackeyed susans last week and gave them a little water...
I wish the tomatoes would do as well with as little...

We must be getting your rain. It's been monsoon season, here. The plants definitely need to keep wet, but sometimes it's a bit much. That delphinium is certainly a pretty flower. I always wondered what they looked like. Thanks for posting it.
I was watching the Al Gore video the other evening, "An Inconvenient Truth".
Al Gore talks about record floods in one place, coupled with unending droughts in another place...
And there are people that still continue to argue about whether there's any need to be concerned...
I couldn't get a good picture of the delphinium, but it's like the dancing bear... the miracle is that I can grow a delphinium at all...
Those nursery delphiniums that the Canadians grow... die immediately when planted here...
